PostUK UK Forwarding, Done Right

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about PostUK's UK parcel forwarding service.

What is PostUK?

PostUK is a UK parcel forwarding service. We provide you with a UK delivery address so you can shop from UK retailers that don't ship internationally. When your parcel arrives at our depot, we forward it to your address in Europe or the rest of the world.

How does parcel forwarding work?

You create an account and receive a UK delivery address. Use this address when shopping with UK retailers. When your order arrives at our depot, it appears in your dashboard. You then choose a courier option, pay for shipping, and we dispatch it to your address.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to Ireland, all EU countries, and most international destinations worldwide. Use our Quick Quote tool to check availability and pricing for your country.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on parcel weight, dimensions, and destination. Use our Quick Quote tool to get an instant estimate. Prices are always shown before you pay, so there are no surprises.

What is volumetric weight?

Volumetric weight is a pricing method used by couriers that factors in parcel dimensions, not just actual weight. If a parcel is large but light, the volumetric weight may be higher than the actual weight, and the courier charges based on whichever is greater. See our guide on volumetric weight for more details.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on the courier and destination. Shipments to Ireland typically take 1-3 working days. European deliveries usually take 3-5 working days. Rest-of-world destinations vary by location and service selected.

Do I have to pay customs duties or VAT?

Customs duties and VAT may apply depending on the destination country, the value of the goods, and local import rules. As the importer, you are responsible for any duties or taxes charged by your country's customs authority. See our customs and duties guide for more information.

How do I get my UK delivery address?

Create an account and choose a membership plan. Your UK delivery address is provided immediately and can be used straight away at checkout with UK retailers.

Can I consolidate multiple parcels into one shipment?

Yes. If you have several parcels at our depot, you can request consolidation. We repack them into a single shipment, which usually reduces overall shipping costs.

What membership plans do you offer?

We offer flexible membership plans to suit different shipping needs. Visit our pricing page to compare plans and choose the one that works best for you.

Is there a free trial?

We offer a free plan that gives you access to a UK delivery address with pay-as-you-go shipping. Upgrade to a paid plan for additional benefits and lower per-parcel rates.

How do I pay for shipping?

Shipping is paid securely online through your PostUK dashboard. We accept major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal.

Can I track my parcel?

Yes. Once your parcel is dispatched, tracking information is added to your dashboard. You can follow delivery progress directly from your account.

What happens if my parcel is damaged?

We inspect parcels on arrival. If damage is visible, we note it in your dashboard. If a parcel is damaged during forwarding, contact our support team and we will investigate and assist with a claim.

Are there items you cannot forward?

Yes. We cannot forward prohibited or restricted items such as hazardous materials, flammable goods, weapons, perishable food, or items banned by international shipping regulations. Contact us if you are unsure about a specific item.

How do I contact support?

You can reach our support team via our contact page. We aim to respond within one working day.

Can I use PostUK to shop from Amazon UK?

Yes. Use your PostUK delivery address at checkout on Amazon.co.uk. When the order arrives at our depot, you can forward it to your home address. See our guide on shipping from Amazon UK for step-by-step instructions.

Do UK retailers charge VAT when shipping to a UK address?

Yes. Since your PostUK address is in the UK, retailers charge UK VAT at the standard rate as part of the purchase price, just like any normal UK order.
