Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 Oct 2026

PostUK provides a parcel forwarding service. By using our website and services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Service Description

PostUK receives parcels on behalf of customers and forwards them to a selected destination once shipping has been arranged and paid for through the customer account.

2. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for the contents of their parcels and for ensuring items comply with courier restrictions, customs rules, and destination country regulations. You must not send prohibited or restricted items — see section 3 below for details and examples. If you are unsure whether an item can be forwarded, please contact us before ordering.

3. Prohibited & Restricted Items

You must accurately and honestly describe the contents of every parcel you send to us or ask us to forward. We rely on your declaration — we do not open or inspect parcels as a matter of course. You are responsible for ensuring the contents are legal to export from the United Kingdom and legal to import into the destination country, and for obtaining any licence, permit or documentation required.

We do not forward items that are prohibited or restricted by our couriers or by the destination country’s customs authority. These include, but are not limited to:

This list is not exhaustive. The definitive lists are those published by the relevant courier and the destination country’s customs authority, and it is your responsibility to check them before sending.

When you forward through us, you are the sender. When we forward a parcel on your behalf, you remain the sender of the goods for the purposes of courier and customs rules. You are responsible for compliance, and for any duties, taxes, fines or penalties that arise.

Our rights. We may, at our discretion and without liability, refuse to receive or forward, hold, open and inspect, return (at your cost), or dispose of any parcel that we reasonably believe contains prohibited or restricted items, or whose contents have been misdeclared. We are under no obligation to forward any parcel.

Seizure, return and refunds. We are not liable for any loss, damage, delay, seizure, return or destruction of a parcel by a courier, customs authority or other body, nor for any resulting fines or penalties. Fees already paid for storage, handling or forwarding are non-refundable where a parcel is held, returned, seized or destroyed due to prohibited, restricted or misdeclared contents.

Indemnity. You agree to indemnify us against any loss, claim, fine, penalty, cost or liability we incur arising from prohibited, restricted or inaccurately declared goods sent to us or forwarded on your behalf.

4. Fees and Payments

Fees displayed in your account and during checkout must be paid before dispatch. Prices may vary by destination, service level, parcel weight and size, and courier rates.

5. Dispatch and Delivery

Dispatch occurs after payment is confirmed and the parcel is ready for shipping. Delivery times are estimates provided by couriers and may be affected by customs processing, peak periods, weather, or other factors outside our control.

6. Liability

While reasonable care is taken when receiving and processing parcels, PostUK is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by couriers, customs authorities, or events outside our control. Where available, customers should choose courier services that include tracking and appropriate cover.

7. Storage, Fair Use and Abandoned Parcels

Every parcel includes 30 days of free storage from the date it arrives at our UK depot, giving you time to add parcels, consolidate, and arrange shipping. Consolidation and parcel handling remain free within this period.

After 30 days, a storage fee of £0.50 per parcel per day applies until the parcel is shipped, collected, or returned, and is payable before dispatch. Combining or repacking parcels does not reset the storage period — a consolidated shipment takes the storage age of its oldest parcel.

Our free UK address and storage are provided for personal parcel forwarding. They are not intended for commercial warehousing, resale fulfilment, or the indefinite holding of parcels with no intention to ship. Where usage is inconsistent with this, we may apply fair-use limits or ask for payment in advance.

A parcel that remains unpaid and unshipped for 90 days from arrival is treated as abandoned. We will give written notice to your registered email address; if the outstanding storage and shipping fees are not paid within 14 days of that notice, we may return the parcel at your cost, or dispose of or sell it to recover the fees owed. This does not remove your obligation to pay fees already incurred.

8. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the service develops. Continued use of the website and services indicates acceptance of the current terms.
