How to Order From Pokémon Center UK With Your PostUK Address
Pokémon Center UK's checkout can reject a forwarding address — you might see "Your shipping address was not accepted" or "the street address line cannot exceed 35 characters." Good news: the address isn't blocked. It's two small entry fixes. Here's exactly how to enter your PostUK address so your order reaches our Belfast depot and forwards on to Spain, Ireland or Europe — ready before the next drop.
Why Pokémon Center rejects the address
Pokémon Center UK validates the shipping address at the payment step, and two things trip people up:
- The Country/Region is left on your home country. If you're shipping to your UK address, that field must be United Kingdom — leaving it on Spain, Germany or wherever you are gives "Your shipping address was not accepted."
- An address line is over 35 characters. Pokémon Center caps each line at 35 characters, so putting the suite and street together — "PostUK Suite 11, 44–46 Elmwood Avenue" (37 characters) — triggers "the street address line cannot exceed 35 characters."
Fix those two and it goes through. Your Spanish (or other home) address stays in the billing section — that part is meant to be different. Here's the exact setup.
The fix — step by step
It takes about two minutes. The order matters, so set the country first.
- Set Country/Region to United Kingdom first
In the shipping address, choose United Kingdom as the Country/Region before anything else. This is the single most common cause of "shipping address was not accepted" — a UK address with your home country selected will always be rejected. - Enter your own name as the recipient
Use your own full name. That's how we match the parcel to your PostUK account. - Split the address across two lines
Put PostUK Suite 11 on Address line 1 and 44–46 Elmwood Avenue on Address line 2. Each line is then well under 35 characters, so the "35 characters" error can't appear. Don't combine them onto one line. - Complete the town, postcode and phone
Town/City Belfast, County Co. Antrim, Postcode BT9 6AZ, and a contact phone number (your own mobile is fine). - Pay — and use PayPal if a card is declined
Keep your real home address as the billing address. If your bank declines the card (a UK-shipping / abroad-billing combo sometimes flags), use PayPal instead. If you see "an error occurred while placing order… try again later," that's Pokémon Center's own temporary error — wait a few minutes and retry. - Order, then tell us
Place your order, then add the tracking number to your PostUK account and we'll watch for it arriving.
What goes in each field
- Country/Region — United Kingdom (set this first)
- Full name — your own name
- Address line 1 — PostUK Suite 11 (the suite shown in your account)
- Address line 2 — 44–46 Elmwood Avenue
- Town / City — Belfast
- County — Co. Antrim
- Postcode — BT9 6AZ
- Billing address — your real home address (kept separate — this is normal)
"My card is in Spain but I'm shipping to the UK" — is that OK?
Yes — that's exactly how forwarding works. Your card is registered to your real home address, so that's your billing address; the parcel is delivered to your PostUK address in the UK. Keep the two different; a mismatch between billing and shipping does not cause the address rejection.
A couple of payment tips for a smooth checkout:
- If your card is declined, use PayPal — it usually sails through where a cross-border card gets flagged by your bank.
- "An error occurred while placing order… try again later" is Pokémon Center's own temporary glitch, common during a busy drop. Double-check the country and the 35-character split, then wait a few minutes and retry.
- Set your address up in advance. Add it and get one small in-stock order through cleanly before the drop, so you're ready when the exclusives go live.
✅ Nothing to pay on delivery
Once your Pokémon Center order reaches us, we forward it from Northern Ireland — inside the EU single market for goods — so your Pokémon cards, ETBs and exclusives arrive in Spain, Ireland or the EU with no customs charge and nothing to pay on delivery, unlike parcels sent from mainland Britain.

Why does Pokémon Center UK say "Your shipping address was not accepted"?
Almost always because the shipping Country/Region is still set to your home country instead of United Kingdom. You're shipping to our UK address, so that field must be United Kingdom and the town Belfast. Your home address belongs only in the billing section. Switch the country and the address is accepted.
Pokémon Center says "the street address line cannot exceed 35 characters" — how do I fix it?
That happens when the suite and street share one line — "PostUK Suite 11, 44–46 Elmwood Avenue" is 37 characters. Split it: put PostUK Suite 11 (15 characters) on Address line 1 and 44–46 Elmwood Avenue (20 characters) on Address line 2. Each line is then under 35 characters and it saves.
My billing address is abroad — is that a problem?
No. Your card's billing address is your real home address; the delivery goes to your PostUK address in the UK. That's normal for forwarding. If your bank declines the card, pay with PayPal.
Pokémon Center says "an error occurred while placing order" — what do I do?
That's Pokémon Center's own temporary error, common during drops. Make sure the country is United Kingdom and no line is over 35 characters, then wait a few minutes and retry, or switch between card and PayPal. It usually clears on a retry.
Does Pokémon Center UK deliver to a forwarding address?
Yes. Your PostUK address is a real UK address in Belfast, and Pokémon Center UK delivers to it like any other UK address. The rejections people hit are entry mistakes — wrong country or an over-long line — not a block on the address.
Will I pay customs when it's forwarded to Spain, Ireland or the EU?
No. PostUK forwards from Northern Ireland, inside the EU single market for goods, so your Pokémon Center parcel reaches Spain, Ireland and the EU without the customs charges or handling fees that hit parcels sent from mainland Britain. There's nothing to pay on delivery.
